You know what I’m offering you is not the worst outcome. In fact it’s rather the easiest.
If I just kill you and let your soul fly off in the the nether, chances are you’ll experience some form of afterlife or maybe even be reborn. Although you may not remember everything in this life, you will have connections to this moment. This moment where you FAILED. This moment…where you failed HER.
Now, who would want that kind of burden to bear? That feeling twisting inside of you for all of eternity?
What I can grant you is the ultimate escape. Freedom from sadness, regret, and pain. Not having to be exhausted from having to care about anything. Finding peace by simply not existing.
Now, does that really sound so horrible?
